LAST EDITED 1/30
Ah, February… the month of love. You know, roses, chocolates, candlelit dinners, and romcoms' that make you wonder if anyone’s ever going to show up at your door with a serenade and a bouquet of flowers. But here’s the thing—love isn’t just about heart-shaped everything and sweaty-palmed date nights. It’s also about the friends who make you laugh until you snort, the hobbies that make you lose track of time, and the self-love that happens when you finally treat yourself to that overpriced coffee.
So, while everyone’s losing their minds over Valentine’s Day (hello, another holiday to pressure us), let’s remember that love is in everything we do. We get to wake up every day doing what we love—making sure your car is safe and ready for whatever adventure comes next, whether it’s a spontaneous road trip or just making it to work without your car throwing up.
Whether you’re spending the day with someone special, or your plant (hey, no judgment), love is all around. And it doesn’t need a Hallmark card or a bouquet to count. Let’s make this February about all the little loves in our lives—because honestly, life’s too short to wait for the 14th to celebrate what makes us happy.

Extraordinary Leaders, Extraordinary Lessons
February often brings to mind the wisdom of our forefathers, especially as we celebrate Presidents Day. George Washington and Abraham Lincoln—two of the greatest leaders in our nation’s history—serve as timeless examples of resilience, vision, and the relentless pursuit of a better future.
These men didn’t seek comfort or ease; they sought greatness, not for themselves, but for the people they served.
Washington, against all odds, led a fledgling nation to independence. Imagine the weight he carried: a poorly equipped army, a fractured people, and an uncertain outcome. Yet, he persevered, guided by an unwavering belief in freedom and the possibility of a self-governed nation.
And Lincoln—who could not have faced a more fractured America—had the courage to mend it, even as it cost him dearly. His resolve to preserve the Union and end slavery was a testament to his moral clarity and strength in the face of unimaginable opposition.
What makes a person extraordinary?
It’s tempting to think they’re born with something the rest of us don’t have. But I disagree. Great leaders—great people—are shaped by their experiences, their choices, and their relentless commitment to self-improvement. They read, they listen, and they learn from those who came before them. They fail, but they rise again.
If I had one wish, it might be to sit down with Washington for a day. I’d want to ask him where he found his patience, his endurance, and his hope for a nation that didn’t even exist yet. How did he inspire people to believe in a dream so grand it almost felt impossible?
Here’s what I think: Greatness isn’t about being better than others; it’s about striving to be better than you were yesterday.
It’s about asking yourself every day, “What can I learn? How can I grow?” Leaders are readers, after all. By opening a book, you open the door to the greatest minds in history. Washington, Lincoln, Franklin, and so many others—they live on in the lessons they left behind.
As we honor these extraordinary men this month, let’s also reflect on what it means to be extraordinary ourselves. Maybe it’s not about leading a nation but about leading our families with love, serving our communities with kindness, or simply showing up each day as a better version of ourselves.
So, in the spirit of Presidents Day, I challenge you to think about your own leadership, no matter how small your sphere of influence might seem. Read a book, lend a hand, or take a moment to reflect. Because being better isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress.
Who knows? Perhaps the seeds of greatness lie within each of us, waiting for the right moment to grow.
Until next month,
Joe
January Initiative
January was quite the month for us! As we rang in our 35th business anniversary on January 2nd, we decided to shake things up a bit! We set out on a mission to support local businesses by purchasing $35 gift certificates from some of our favorite spots—because what says “thank you for 35 amazing years” like treating our awesome customers to a little Perkasie magic?
Every day in January, we featured a local business (shout-out to Free Will Brewing, Pomodorino, Cafe @ The Mill, Castillo, Sapori, Philly Philly Cheesesteaks, Perkasie Pizza & Pasta, The Perk, Rams Pint House & Rooftop Lounge, Covered Bridge Car Wash, Washington House and so many more!).
Each day, we surprised one lucky customer with a $35 gift certificate to that very business.
Our social media pages were buzzing with excitement as we revealed the daily winners and helped showcase all the great things happening right here in our town.
The best part? We got to share our love for these businesses and remind everyone just how special our little Perkasie really is.
So, if you missed out on a gift certificate, don’t worry—you’ve got 35 years of us to make up for it. But hey, keep an eye on our socials, because who knows what we’ll cook up next! Here's to many more years of supporting local and keeping Perkasie the best place to be!

Our community Initiative this past January, as we celebrated our 35th business anniversary - was to celebrate, support, and recognize all of the independent businesses that make Perkasie so wonderful!
How To Protect Your Car From Salt, Snow, and Potholes
Welcome to the Pennsylvania Winter Wonderland – where the roads are less "snowy mountain retreat" and more "giant salt mine meets lunar surface." Yep, we’re talking about the snow, the salt, and those potholes that have magically appeared overnight, just in time to ruin your perfectly good tire.
Don’t worry, though – we’ve got your back. We’re here to help you protect your car from the chaos of February weather (because we know it’s tempting to just park your car until March).
So, grab your coziest blanket, some hot cocoa (or whatever keeps you sane), and let’s dive into how to keep your car running like a champ while the roads try to ruin your day. Let’s get into our 4 tips for February car care!
1. Defend Against the Dreaded Salt: Corrosion Free Formula 3000 with CSC 850
Okay, let’s talk about the most insidious enemy of your vehicle in the winter: salt. If you’re like us, you know the feeling – you wash your car, and then five minutes later, it's covered in a layer of road salt and grime. Yikes. And while it might look like harmless white powder, that salt is an absolute killer when it comes to your car’s undercarriage.
So, how do you combat this? Well, here at Joe Davis Autosport, we use a special formula called Corrosion Free Formula 3000 with CSC 850 to rust proof vehicles.
Why should you come into our shop for this? Well, because you have to get under your car to apply this. So - unless you want your back frozen stuck to your driveway as you spray the corrosion free formula - which most likely will fall back into your eyes and if it doesn’t, you’ll be breathing it in (are we painting a clear picture?). Our point is, leave it to the professionals.
2. Potholes, Potholes Everywhere! Time for a Quick Alignment Check
Ah, Pennsylvania potholes. You know the ones. You’re driving along, singing your favorite tune, and suddenly – BAM! – your car falls into a hole that you swear wasn’t there 30 seconds ago. (And no, hitting that hole doesn't count as a "test of your car’s suspension system," as much as you might tell yourself that.)
All that pothole jumping around can throw your car’s alignment out of whack. If your steering wheel feels off-center, your car pulls to one side, or your tires are wearing unevenly – it’s time for an alignment check. Getting your car realigned helps ensure that it handles well on the roads (even the lumpy ones) and prevents unnecessary wear on your tires.
3. Headlights on Point: Because Potholes Won’t Dodge Themselves
Let’s be real – in winter, it feels like the sun is only out for about 10 minutes before it dips behind the horizon. So, when you're driving home from work at 4:30 p.m. and it’s pitch black, you definitely need those headlights to be on point.
We highly recommend getting your headlights adjusted so they actually point where you need them to. Not only will you have a much better chance of seeing where you're going (hello, road!), but you’ll also avoid turning your car into a pothole magnet. Plus, you’ll look like a total road pro while cruising along, all smug and confident that you can see what’s ahead.
4. Wash Off the Salt (and Treat Yourself to a Car Wash! 🚗💦)
Now, we know it’s freezing outside, and the thought of standing in the cold to wash your car sounds like an absolute horror show. Don’t worry, we get it! That’s why we’re offering a special treat for all our customers who schedule in February: a free car wash coupon to Covered Bridge Car Wash!
This place is amazing, and we’re not just saying that because they’re giving our customers an awesome deal. Their touchless, drive-through carousel wash will get your car looking fresh and salt-free, without you having to step out into the frigid tundra. So, come on in, let us take care of your car, and then enjoy the luxury of a car wash while you stay cozy and warm. You deserve it.
Car Repairs Made Easy: 90 Days Same as Cash
We believe car repairs shouldn’t break the bank or your spirit. That’s why we’re introducing our 90 Days Same as Cash Program in partnership with Affirm.
Here’s the deal: Fix your car now, spread out the payments, and as long as you pay it off in 90 days, there’s zero interest. Zilch. It’s like borrowing money from a generous (and organized) friend who doesn’t charge you extra for being forgetful.
We’re a family-owned business, and we understand that life can get busy, budgets can get tight, and sometimes you just don’t want to pay for everything at once — even if you could. This program is about making things easier. Oh, and qualifying? It’s a breeze. Read more to find out how to how easy it is to qualify.

Oh — And by the way…
Gooooo Birds!!!
Well folks, here we are—another Super Bowl, another chance for Philly to show the world what we’re made of. The Birds have fought, clawed, and probably given us all a few heart attacks along the way, but that’s just the Philly way.
So fire up the grill, grab a cheesesteak (Wiz wit, obviously), and get ready to scream at the TV like it’s your job. Whether you’re watching from the Linc, your couch, or a South Philly dive bar, just remember—it’s not just football, it’s family.
Let’s bring that Lombardi home where it belongs. E-A-G-L-E-S, EAGLES! 🏆💚🎉
